Make or Break

Words.

They have the power to manipulate, encourage, heal, and break. We can't ever take them back and we don't always measure just how much they can hurt someone. Sometimes, however, we don't realize how much our simple words can bring joy or happiness to someone who is hurting.

It's hard to forget the words someone uses to judge or reprimand. When we use harsh words to make a point, we don't realize all the damage that simple statement can make.

It's also hard to answer the call to speak lovingly to someone who is hurting…especially when we don't know them. More so when we do.

I never heard the words I longed to hear from my dad.

I perceived the wrong message in the words some guys have said.

I don't know how to use the words God has called me to use towards my family.

 

I still struggle with believing the words God uses to describe me and what He says I am in Him and because of His Son.
