Life’s Pimples

I remember my first pimple. I thought it was horrible and that it would never go away.

My mom would look at me like I was the silliest girl; she knew it would only be on my face for a couple of days.

Those couple of days felt endless and I felt like the ugliest creature in eighth grade.

Just like any other pimple, it went away… I have had my fair share of them since then…

That's just how problems are. While we worry about them and are sure they will never go away, God knows they'll be gone soon and that in Him there's nothing to worry about.

As I look back, I realized that what then seemed like hardcore stuff was really just a tiny blemish. I have had my zit problems and even the ever staying blackhead ones, but He has always been right by my side to calm me down and comfort my heart.

Something people do is they try to cover up pimples so they don't look too ugly, but that usually makes them worse.

Hiding things has never been a good idea.

There is stuff now that I don't wanna talk about, but I know that eventually I'll have to face the fact that while the zit remained covered, it became worse.

God is still merciful. Lives change but He remains amazing and mighty.

I need to work on remembering that next time another one of life's pimples threatens my faith.

Our "pimples" are just a part of life. We grow, learn, and keep going.

We should learn to just nip those in the butt and rid ourselves of the filth that they often carry.
